Singapore - THE COMMUTER (PG13) arrives at no. 1 with an estimated US$389,717 (including IMAX). Other top ten debuts include ALONG WITH THE GODS (PG13) and DOWNSIZING (NC16 Edited), the year's first edited release and also the first in which a "passed clean" version is jettisoned in favour of an edited cut with a less restrictive rating.
Other releases include AYAT-AYAT CINTA 2 (PG13) (7 GV screens), THE THIRD MURDER (PG) (3 GV screens) and NEWNESS (R21) (2 Shaw screens).
Amongst holdovers, JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (PG) has accumulated US$4,894,460 while STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (PG) now has US$4,586,347 in its coffers.
Projector exclusive CALL ME BY YOUR NAME (R21) has already grossed US$33,013 from a single location, dipping only a minuscule 16.2% in its second week. It could be the week's highest grosser in terms of screen average (US$13,120), if not one of the highest (full details for comparison of data are not available).
