Singapore - THE GREATEST SHOWMAN (PG) ascends to no. 1 in its fourth week. The P.T. Barnum musical debut at no. 3 and spent two weeks there before climbing to no. 2. This week, it reached the pinnacle and a special sing-along version will be released at Lido on 1 Feb. Total cume is now US$1,809,954.
The last film to spend its fourth weekend at no. 1 is TRAIN TO BUSAN (NC16) back in August 2016. The zombie thriller was also a non no. 1 debut which reached the top in its 3rd weekend.
And before that, AH BOYS TO MEN 2 新兵正传 II (PG13) and AVATAR (PG) were the last two films to spend their fourth weekends as box office champions in February 2013 and January 2010 respectively. Both films held on to no. 1 for four weeks.
12 STRONG (NC16) is the highest debut at no. 3 with US$187,663. Other top ten entrants include SATAN'S SLAVES (PG13) at no. 5, THE POST (PG13) at no. 7 and A BETTER TOMORROW 2018 英雄本色 2018 (PG13) at no. 10.
Opening outside the top ten are THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI (NC16), BREATHE (PG13) and EXPLOSION 引爆者 (M18).
